I'm a freelance 2D character/concept artist based around Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. I'm incredibly proud to say my latest work was on Disney's Illusion Island and it's DLC with Dlala Studios. I love fantasy, tea, a good Dungeons and Dragons session and cozy vibes!
I began my career as a character animator for a start up games company based in Newcastle. After a long break, I moved into freelance where I worked on animations with names such as Arcus Animation, BBC Bitesize, BBC Arts New Creatives, Siyona Tech, Playmob and Grads Into Games. I loved animation but missed drawing and design so when the opportunity came, I took it! I moved into 2D character design and concept art which I still currently work in!
Over the last 2 years I've been taking volunteering and mentoring opportunities to help people into the creative industry. I wanted to give back to the industry that gave me opportunities and coming from a working class background myself, I know how hard it can be to break in. So far I have volunteered as an Art Judge with IntoGames IG50 2024 and mentored artists with The Game Dev Group. I've also reviewed CVs and Portfolios for graduates looking for their first job and young students applying for university.
